We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear colleague and friend, Dr. Steve Evers. Dr. Evers served the Madras community as an eyecare provider for many years, including many years as a provider in our own clinic. More recently, we were honored to continue co-managing patients with him through his work in the prison system, where he carried his same compassion and dedication to those in need.
Beyond Central Oregon, Dr. Evers was deeply involved in global eyecare missions, bringing the gift of sight to underserved communities around the world. In his memory, we have made a donation to Optometry Giving Sight, an organization that reflects the heart of his life’s work.
Dr. Evers’ legacy of kindness, service, and passion for vision care will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family during this difficult time.
