It’s been such an exciting week here at EKT as the amazing Dr. Cole has started his OT career here with us! Cole began here with us last summer while completing one of his clinicals, and then worked with us this summer as a therapeutic camp counselor. He recently passed his boards and we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to bring him onto our team full time 💗 He’s the best, and we are so blessed to have him.

Pictured next to him is our beautiful Ms Nicholle who started with us earlier this summer. We realized we never officially introduced her to the gram fam!! She went to school with Dr Ash years ago, and the universe brought her here to us and she’s been a blessing to our clinic 💗

We are so lucky to have the best staff in the entire world here at EKT. Thank you ALL for all that you do for our kiddos and families. Keep shining bright 🌈☀️💗

So thankful for all the education and advocacy SSELAC does for our families in Smithfield. If you are a Smithfield family and you have a child with a 504/IEP - this is an incredible little village to have in your corner! 💗💗

No bad days here 💗 Back to school for so many of our kiddos and the clinic is still busy as can be! Our little friends are adjusting to new routines, longer days, and busier schedules and we are here to support them every step of the way 🫶

Another proud graduate of our feeding therapy program with his amazing therapist, Ms. Nicholle 💗🎉 Saying goodbye is always bittersweet…we’re so proud and will miss him dearly!

Our approach to feeding is all about connection over compliance. No forcing food. Just respecting boundaries, following each child’s lead, and keeping it fun. It may not happen overnight, but it WORKS 🙏🌈

From the 2025 Camp EKT staff to every single child and family who were a part of our camp family this summer - THANK YOU 💗🌈☀️ Our hearts are full and we will truly miss you all so much. This camp is undoubtedly one of a kind and it’s an honor to be trusted with your amazing kiddos. So, SO much work goes into pulling it off…but these smiling faces make it beyond worth it. 10 weeks of Camp EKT has come to an end. We will see you next summer! 🫶🎉

One of our favorite events to attend every summer is Smithfield’s CommUNITY Night Out! Thank you always for having us and for creating an inclusive space for the families we love so much 💗 It was great to see familiar faces and making new friends too! A big thank you to Alyssa and Lauren for going above and beyond in their roles and helping Dr Ash out at our tables. We can’t wait to see our new friends at the clinic soon! 🌈✨🌸🪩
