Congratulations to our 2025 Volunteer of the Year - Cheryl Kaskey

Cheryl was honored at the Annual Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Iowa Conference on December 1st in Des Moines. Cheryl's nomination says the following:

Cheryl has been a hospice volunteer with Cherokee Regional Hospice for ten years. Though her work often takes place behind the scenes, her unwavering kindness, attention to detail, and steadfast commitment have a lasting impact on our hospice program. Since joining our volunteer program, Cheryl has faithfully supported the office with a variety of duties including monthly mailings, answering the phone, tuck-in calls, care of our hospice garden, and special events. She provides grace to the volunteer coordinator when things are not organized exactly as they should be. Her dependability ensures that our staff can focus more fully on providing care to patients and families. Cherokee Regional Hospice is so blessed to have Cheryl on our team providing exceptional care.

Thank you Cheryl for your dedication, kindness, and giving heart! 🌟🫶

Infant Loss Support Group

You don't have to walk this journey alone. If you've experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, we invite you to join our support group. This is a safe, compassionate space to share your story, listen, grieve, and find hope alongside others who truly understand.

You are seen. You are not alone. 💛

A huge Thank You to the The Gardens Assisted Living- Cherokee, for your generosity and support. We truly value our partnership with you and are grateful for the care and compassion you show our shared patients and families.

Additional, THANK YOU to our amazing community, businesses, and donors for supporting your local hospice program!

We’re so grateful for the generosity shown at our Garden of Wreaths auction! Thanks to everyone who participated, we raised $1,860, which was proudly presented to CRMC Hospice. It’s a blessing to be able to support the compassionate care they provide to patients and families in our community. Thank you for helping make a difference!

Our hospice staff and volunteers recently gathered for a meaningful time of connection, reflection, and renewal. 💜
We were guided by Laura Burk who shared her wisdom on mindful breath work and gentle movement yoga-practices to help us stay centered and present in our work in caring for others. 🧘✨
We enjoyed relaxing and connecting over delicious food and the wonderful ambiance at The Cellar-the perfect setting to nourish both body and spirit.
We are grateful for our incredible hospice team who continually show strength, courage, and compassion in everything they do .💕
