The uses for OMT are numerous. Many patients seem to be frustrated by many issues associated with activity and aging. Some feel that aging is associated with pain and functional decline. It signals to you that something is wrong and that needs to be addressed.
medication manages pain?
Yes but the issue still remains, only the symptoms are addressed by medicine.
Why does pain persist?
Pain remains in spite of medicine use, because the problem has not been addressed. There are many treatments designed to resolve pain.

"Alternative Medicine"
This term has many interpretive meanings. In fact perspective is everything! If one imagines that western medicine is in fact the epitome of medical care, then all other care is Alternative. I have had the opportunity to practice western medicine and Osteopathic medicine and found that both are in fact valid medical practices.

I am sure that a more appropriate term is supplemental medical care. This is not just a label change. Large numbers of individuals use supplemental and western care to great effect!

There are reasons that OMT has been used for 151 years and has helped thousands of individuals reach their own potentials. Over the years additional techniques and skills have been introduced.
