Prost! The Residence at Cherry Hill celebrated Oktoberfest in true Bavarian style with live accordion music, delicious bratwurst and sauerkraut, soft pretzels with warm beer cheese sauce, and sweet apple cookies. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing culinary team for preparing the festive fare, and to the Cherry Hill Resident Baking Club for their beautiful homemade Lebkuchenherzen – traditional German gingerbread heart cookies lovingly decorated for the occasion. It was a joyful afternoon filled with music, laughter, and the spirit of community!

Decked out in green, our fans enjoyed delicious, themed milkshakes while rallying for their team. Residents of Cherry Hill recently participated in an engaging painting workshop led by local artist Amanda from “Hearts to Hands,” where they explored the art of creating diptychs – two-part paintings that together tell a visual story. The featured subject was a vibrant scene of a hot air balloon drifting across a bright sky, split across two connected canvases. Amanda guided participants through the unique technique of storytelling through divided compositions, emphasizing color harmony and visual flow. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the creative experience, appreciating not only the opportunity to develop new artistic skills but also the chance to express their own interpretations of the whimsical balloon journey!

Cherry Hill stands strong for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This October, our residents and associates at Cherry Hill came together in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We proudly wore our pink to show solidarity, raise awareness, and honor those affected by breast cancer. Our talented Resident Baking Club added a sweet touch to the occasion by preparing two types of delicious pink-themed cookies, which we all enjoyed during our special Happy Hour Social. It was a heartfelt afternoon filled with community spirit, support, and plenty of pink!

The hands-on lecture explored iconic styles from the 1920s to the 1990s, highlighting how fashion reflected cultural shifts over time. Adding to the excitement, associates joined in by dressing up as their favorite decade, showcasing flapper dresses, bell-bottoms, shoulder pads, and more – bringing history to life with creativity and flair!
