Linda Begley, started Newborn Nurses in 1986 as a community based, family centered, home care agency for the underserved and most vulnerable of our population - babies and their moms. Our nurses were pediatric specialists rather than community health nurses, which, at that time, was an innovative community health model. National Nurses Week is May 6, through May 12, 2025 this year. Join me in celebrating our incredible "Champions of Caring" team of nurses at Newborn Nurses and all around the world on this week of recognition. To all the nurses out there, how can we tell you how much you mean to all of us and how you change our lives every day by the unwavering care and dedication you display?
This year I was in the hospital for over a week with RSV. I witnessed first hand the difference nurses make in your life. I was scared. I couldn't breathe and it took a while to get back on my feet. The care I received by every nurse I encountered made me feel confident that I would get well. I am so grateful for their kindness, companionship and care at all hours of the day and night. I share this experience with many of our clients and people all over the world and would like to say THANK YOU on behalf of all of us!
