đź’Ś Small gestures can make a big impact! đź’Ś
At JFCS, we know that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a world of difference. Meet two incredible volunteers, Jessica and Karla, whose handmade cards bring smiles, comfort, and connection to our Older Adult and Holocaust Survivor clients.
Jessica Yao, a high school student from Mount Laurel, has been creating one-of-a-kind birthday cards for our clients since 2022. Her cards are colorful, creative, and thoughtfully themed for each season. Jessica’s goal is to remind recipients that they are seen, valued, and remembered—especially on their special day.
Karla Nuciforo began volunteering with JFCS in 2024, crafting beautifully detailed holiday cards from her home in Somerdale. Despite living with a chronic medical condition, Karla finds joy and healing through her art. She’s even purchased special Judaic stencils to make her cards more meaningful for our clients. Her creations, filled with warmth and love, brighten every delivery.
Jessica and Karla prove that heartfelt gestures—no matter how small—can have a profound impact. We’re so grateful for their time, creativity, and compassion. Read more about Jessica and Karla's unique volunteer service at https://ow.ly/INbl50WueK5💙
