What can adults do to help prevent teen dating violence?
💜 Talk openly with teens about relationships, boundaries, friendship, and dating
💜 Be someone they can trust—listen without judgment or assumptions
💜 Believe them
💜 Talk together about safety plans and respect their opinions
💜Ask how you can help

You don’t have to have all the answers. Offering support, connection, and trust can make a powerful difference.

Healthy relationships should make teens feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. When a relationship includes control, fear, isolation, or constant conflict, it may be unhealthy — and it’s important to talk about it. This month, JFCS is raising awareness to help young people recognize the signs and know that support is available.

💜 You deserve respect
💜 You deserve support
💜 You deserve real love

💙 Thank you to our amazing volunteers! 💙

JFCS is so grateful to everyone who helped make Tu B’Shevat holiday treat deliveries run smoothly. Volunteers braved below-freezing temperatures, ice, and snow to ensure that 100 clients across 83 households had something special for the holiday.

Clients look forward to these moments so much — not just for the treats, but for the kindness, smiles, and connection volunteers bring. This support brings comfort, joy, and dignity to the community, especially during a season that can be difficult and isolating for many older adult clients.

This effort goes far beyond delivering gifts — bringing warmth and hope when it’s needed most.

February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Dating violence affects more young people than we often realize—but together, we can change that. This month, JFCS is helping to raise awareness, educate, and empower teens and young adults to recognize what healthy love looks like. Because real love is safe, supportive, and respectful. 💜
