A Special Visit at Interactive Kids! 🩺✨

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a medical student from the RISN Center at Rowan Medicine as part of their clinical rotation.
When the RISN team reached out asking if their students could shadow our programs, we didn’t hesitate to say yes—because we believe in shaping a future where all doctors are prepared to support individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. 💙

The RISN Center shared that many med students complete their training without ever meeting someone with autism. By partnering with organizations like IK, they’re working to change that—and we’re honored to be part of the mission. 🙌

Huge thanks to:
🟢 Future Dr. Andrew for asking thoughtful questions and being eager to learn
🟢Tziona Twersky for taking the time to share what we do
Dominique Baker for your always-warm welcome
🟢Teddy and Kyle for being incredible RBTs
🟢 Danielle and Dr. Jennifer LeComte from RISN for your commitment to training inclusive, compassionate physicians

We’re proud to contribute to something that will have a ripple effect in the medical community for years to come.

Thoughtful Thursday at Social Skills Camp 💭💙

This week, we explored the emotions sad and calm—learning what they feel like, why we have them, and how to handle them.

To wrap it all up, Ms. Rachel led a Thoughtful Thursday activity where campers (and staff!) made positive affirmation fortune tellers. The kids loved it—and the staff clearly remembered their middle school skills because they all knew exactly how to fold them! 😂📄✨

Here’s to spreading positivity, emotional growth, and a little nostalgic fun! 💫

🚨 Must-Watch 🚨
Sol Smith breaks down one of the most important autism studies of our time — and he does it in a way that’s actually easy to understand. 🙌

This 2025 study from Princeton used data from over 5,000 autistic kids and found four distinct subtypes of autism, each with its own genetic and developmental patterns. It’s a huge step toward understanding why autism looks so different from person to person — and how we can better support each individual.

Sol explains it all with clarity, heart, and real-world relevance.

This is what the end of week two of camp looks like—when you’ve spent so much time together you start coordinating outfits without even planning it 🤣💙

This crew is incredible. We’re rocking, rolling, and running on coffee and laughs. The kids are having a total blast thanks to the energy, heart, and hustle of this amazing team.

Big thanks to Congregation Beth El Voorhees for hosting us and to everyone who’s making this summer so special 💥💛
