Interactive Kids We provide ABA, education, & social skills consultation to families, schools and the community.

Interactive Kids is a community resource designed to provide the highest quality consultation and training services for individuals, their families, professionals, and other providers through a collaborative solution-driven relationship. We offer a wide array of behavioral, educational, and vocational-based services for individuals with disabilities such as autism, developmental disorders, non-verbal learning disorder, brain injury, ADD/ADHD, behavior disorders, and other neurological impairments. In addition, we treat those who may not be diagnosed but are experiencing socially challenging behaviors. Our consultants meet a child where he or she is struggling, at home, in school, or in the community. Through developing a partnership with the child, the parents, the school district, or other providers we have been able to achieve optimal long term results. Together we can be the change your child needs to reach their greatest potential!

This group from our Somers Point location did an incredible job targeting community safety and using positive reinforcement to help decrease elopement and build independence.

Last week Logan and I had THE BEST TIME at Blue Light Music Program in Blackwood! 🎶💙
Derrick gave us an incredible tour and shared all the amazing things they’re doing. They work with individuals ages 6 and up and offer several programs — and we absolutely love their philosophy: music and the arts are for everyone, and every individual should get to learn what they want.

They even launched a new program where participants can take home an instrument — and if they don’t like it, they can simply swap it out for another one. Talk about flexibility and truly meeting individuals where they are! 🎸✨

Blue Light has locations in Blackwood and Mt. Holly, and we seriously can’t recommend checking them out enough.

And how did we meet?
We invited them to our very first SPARKL luncheon — and we’re so glad we did. We got to learn more about their mission, and it’s clear they’re another provider, like IK, who is deeply committed to doing good in the community.

This time of year can feel heavy for so many. If you or someone you support is carrying a lot — emotionally, mentally, or physically — here is a gentle opportunity for rest and reset.

🧘‍♀️ Sound Healing + Deep Rest Session
Hosted by Dr. Sharon Washington, who is partnering with The Pilates Soul Studio in Cherry Hill to offer a calming and restorative experience.

📅 Sunday, December 7
⏰ 4:00–5:00 PM
📍 The Pilates Soul Studio – Cherry Hill, NJ
💛 Cost: $25 (all proceeds benefit the Food Banks of South Jersey)

This session is designed for:
• Staff who are carrying a lot — emotionally, mentally, and physically
• Parents and caregivers who rarely get a quiet hour to themselves
• Anyone feeling stretched thin heading into the holidays

Participants will be guided through a gentle, restorative sound bath using crystal singing bowls to support:
✔ Deep relaxation
✔ Nervous system reset
✔ Emotional release

Bring a blanket and pillow. Doors open at 3:45 PM so you can settle in.

✨ Outing Spotlight: Gonzo Glass Studio

Dominique Baker and Rachel Watson visited Gonzo Glass Studio in Mount Holly to explore it as a possible outing for IK staff and for our Adolescent & Adult Department in Marlton — and it was an amazing experience!

Patrick, the owner, and Mike, their glass art and science instructor, gave us a tour, explained the glassblowing process, and helped us brainstorm ideas for hands-on sessions that could work for clients, staff team building, or even small group experiences. They were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do.

The studio offers a unique mix of art, science, creativity, and hands-on learning — and we could definitely see it fitting well for certain client groups or as a fun, team-building experience for staff.

Check them out at their Holiday Ornament Party on 12/6 where you can purchase handmade glass ornaments—or even blow your own custom ornament!
