One Life Counseling and Yoga is expanding yoga classes to hold more space for anyone who needs body work to help heal the “mind and body”.
As a trauma therapist, the importance of healing the central nervous system and finding a safe and spiritual space to regulate your body and muscle memory is vital to being able to completely change the flight or fight response along with being able to relax and release the anxiety and emotions that we hold and store for decades.
Those of you that have worked along side of me understand that incorporating a new lifestyle is vital to change the firing neurons in the brain. If you haven’t tried yoga as a relief response you need to meet Helen.
Helen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rowan University and is a 200-hour certified trauma-informed yoga teacher. She brings over a decade of personal practice in yoga and Pilates, along with experience working with children and teens with diverse needs.
Drawing on her academic background and practical experience, Helen approaches yoga as a supportive modality for stress reduction and emotional regulation. Her classes are structured, adaptable, and accessible, with a focus on safety and individualized support.
