Two therapists. One home. One very real moment!
An OT + PT co-treat doesn’t erase fear, hesitation, or the emotions that surface when a task feels risky — especially something as vulnerable as a simulated shower transfer. Even with two clinicians present, the fear of falling and fear of failure can still show up. And that’s okay.
At FOX, interdisciplinary collaboration isn’t just encouraged — it’s supported and flexible when medically necessary. Having the ability to schedule OT + PT co-treatments in the home allows us to meet patients exactly where they are, at the moment it matters most. That flexibility makes a real, measurable impact on safety, confidence, and outcomes.
This session took just over two hours, with nearly one full hour dedicated to breaking down this single activity — layering education, functional mobility, ADLs, and fall-prevention strategies every step of the way.
Progress isn’t rushed. Safety isn’t assumed. Confidence is built — slowly, intentionally, and together.
This is what FOX in the home really looks like! 🧡
Thank you and .kerch for sharing a glimpse into a co-treat session!
