As we enter the weekend, we honor and remember our facility’s namesake, Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class William David Halyburton, a native of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Halyburton was killed May 10, 1945 on Okinawa Shima in the Ryukyu Chain. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions that day.
