PS: No filters here—just tinted sunscreen & smarter skincare
One of the biggest mistakes I see women make in perimenopause/menopause is assuming they need stronger and harsher products when their skin starts changing.
As estrogen declines:
• Skin becomes thinner
• Natural hyaluronic acid levels drop
• Moisture loss increases
• Inflammation rises
• The skin barrier becomes much easier to disrupt
That means the tretinoin you tolerated beautifully in your 30s may suddenly become too irritating.
For me, the game changer was this:
✨ Applying hyaluronic acid twice daily on damp skin
✨ Switching from tretinoin to a gentler retinol + bakuchiol formula
✨ Using products I can tolerate consistently instead of over-irritating my skin
Because here’s the truth:
Using tretinoin once or twice a week because your skin can’t handle it is often less effective than using a gentler retinol consistently.
Healthy aging skin is not about punishing your barrier.
It’s about supporting it.
