💗🐾 National Love Your Pet Day — A Tail-Wagging Success! 🐾💗

On Friday, in honor of National Love Your Pet Day, we were thrilled to Welcome special guest speakers from to Chesaning Comfort Care!
They brought along sweet doodle puppies and dogs for a truly heart-warming visit that filled our community with smiles, laughter, and gentle tail wags. 🐶✨
Lisa led an engaging and interactive discussion on the origins of National Love Your Pet Day, followed by an informative and enjoyable presentation on doodles — their lineage, care, and why they make such wonderful companions.
Residents loved learning while having the opportunity to safely interact with the puppied & dogs.
Norm played an important role in ensuring each resident had a chance to visit and pet the dogs, and we were grateful to see our Operations Manager Roman step in to help as well. 💛
Moments like these remind us that dogs are more than just adorable — they offer emotional support, comfort, companionship, and connection. The presence of animals can be incredibly therapeutic, lifting spirits and creating meaningful shared experiences for our residents.
Thank you to everyone who helped make National Love Your Pet Day such a joyful and memorable experience. Our hearts were full. 🐾💕

🌈 Bridging Generations in the Most Beautiful Way 🎨💞
Our program recently hosted a Paint & Pass Class🖼🖌 with Girl Scouts Troop 30135, and it was a wonderful success from start to finish!
There were loads of smiles, creativity flowing freely, and you could truly see everyone’s imagination at work. Add in some yummy snacks ( Thank You to Chef Leigh & kichen staff), and it made for a joyful, relaxed after-dinner activity for all involved.
The Girl Scouts also brought homemade Valentine’s cards📝 for our residents — a thoughtful gesture that meant so much💞
These young ladies, Scouts Mya, Abigail, & Noelle along with Troop Leaders, Jessica and Melissa jumped right in, chatting with residents, helping them paint, encouraging creativity, and even assisting with cleanup. Their kindness and enthusiasm were heartwarming to witness.💛
A very special THANK YOU to Kelly from for generously donating the paint boards and for lending a helping hand wherever needed. Your continued support helps make moments like these possible.
Seeing genuine connections formed between generations reminds us just how powerful community, creativity, and compassion can be. 💛🌏

🎨 Bridging Generations Program– Tonight 🎨
We’ll be welcoming a local Girl Scout troop this evening for a special Paint & Pass activity with our residents.
From 6:00–7:30 PM, we’ll be sharing a relaxed, interactive art experience — each canvas is painted for about 10 minutes, then passed along, creating something unique together.👩‍👧‍👵
There’s no pressure or expectation on creativity — this is simply about connection, laughter, and making memories across Generations.🤲
Light treats will be available, and families are welcome to join us if you’re able. 💜

Leadership isn’t always loud — sometimes it looks like long hours behind a desk, steady decision-making, and quietly supporting multiple communities at once.
Our Administrator, Darleen Bott is amazing. She is ever leading Chesaning Comfort Care along with balancing a full plate — Balancing the needs of multiple locations is no small task. It requires organization, steady decision-making, and a deep commitment to quality care. Even while juggling additional responsibilities, Darleen remains focused, supportive, and present for our residents and staff.
The work behind the scenes often goes unseen, but the impact is felt every single day by our residents, families, and staff.
We Appreciate the commitment, professionalism, and heart she brings to her role.

💌💗 A Very Special Valentine’s Thank You 💗💌

We would like to send a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to Ms. Holly Bishop 's 5th Grade Class at for the beautiful handmade Valentine’s cards created for each and every one of our residents.

What a precious gift — perfectly suited for a holiday centered around love and caring. ❤️

Our residents truly enjoyed them, admiring the bright colors 🎨, thoughtful messages 💕, and the care that was so clearly poured into every single card. Families were equally impressed by the time, effort, and heart these students invested.

There were smiles 😊, nods of approval, a few sparkly tears ✨, and so much appreciation shared throughout our community.

To Ms. Bishop and her wonderful 5th graders — you gave more than Valentine’s cards.

💗✨ A Valentine’s Day Filled with Fun ✨💗
Our Valentine’s Family Brunch at Chesaning Comfort Care was one for the books!
From 10:30 AM to noon (and let’s be honest… a little beyond 😉), our dining room was packed full with laughter, yummy waffles, fresh fruits, and sweet treats; along with warm hugs, and so much joy.
The fun carried us right into the early afternoon because no one was quite ready for it to end!😊
Seeing residents and families gathered together — talking, smiling, celebrating — is exactly why we do what we do. These are the moments that matter. 💕
A very special THANK YOU to:
🌟Our Chef's Leigh, Laurie, & David who filled our Brunch with fantastic food & to our staff that helped!!
💫 To all the families and friends who helped fill our residents Valentine’s bags.

🎉✨ Celebrating 95 Wonderful Years – Happy Birthday, Ruth! ✨🎉

Yesterday, our community had the absolute joy of celebrating a very special milestone — Ruth’s 95th birthday.
And we made sure it was a true surprise. 💛
With neighbors gathered, noise makers ready, and excitement barely contained, we wheeled Ruth into the room — backwards — so she wouldn’t suspect a thing. At just the right moment, the signal was given…
🎉“SURPRISE!”🎉
The room filled with cheers, laughter, noise makers blowing, and celebration as her fellow residents and staff honored her incredible 95 years.
Watching her face light up in that moment reminded us exactly why .

Ruth has lived a life of hard work, dedication, and accomplishment. Through her gift of piano playing, she achieved many things and was an active member of musical societies over the years. Her talent, discipline, and love for music are part of the beautiful legacy she carries with her.🎵🎼🎶

The same hands that once played beautiful piano pieces now continue to turn word search pages, complete complex puzzles, and commit to exercise with strength and determination. 💪🧠
At 95 years young, she continues to inspire us.☺️

Ruth was born in 1930 — BEFORE...

She has lived through:

She has witnessed nearly a century of change — from black-and-white photographs to digital video calls, from handwritten sheet music to music streamed instantly around the world.

And yesterday, She was surrounded by something just as powerful as history: ❤️LOVE❤️

Her neighbors came together to celebrate one of their own. Staff stood proudly beside her. There were thoughtful gifts to open, festive decorations, specialty cider poured just for her, Happy Birthday sang twice, and cupcakes shared in celebration of a life so beautifully lived.

There’s something extra special about watching our residents create something together. 💕

As they placed hearts on the tree 🌳❤️, helped hang their Valentine’s bags, and even guided where everything should go, their Resident Wall truly became their own.
For those who weren’t able to make a bag, we made sure they could choose one they loved from the extras their neighbors created — because everyone deserves to feel included. 🤲

⭐️✨️ Now we’re inviting our Staff & Families to join in the fun by Helping Fill their bags ~~ with a small note, treat, or token of kindness. 💌🍫

The New Standard of Senior Living

Chesaning Comfort Care is located in the southwest corner of Saginaw County and is one of the counties BEST kept secrets. We are located in the quaint, historic village of Chesaning, and we are providing the New Standard of Living for our senior population. We are designed to provide living and care for either you or your loved one as the needs increase for more daily activities and care. We are staffed 24 hours a day to meet your needs. We have rooms that are very spacious and provide and promote ideal living that helps each individual remain as independent as possible while still providing for their needs.

Some of the amenities that are provided daily are: med passing, meals, snacks, exercise, crafts, outdoor activities, gardening, movie theater, hair salon, laughter and lots of love. We do all your housework and laundry, so that you can enjoy your time as you age gracefully in place. We have an amazing spa room that helps with your aches and pains, and lets you relax in the comfort of privacy and assistance.

We love to have activities that involve the community and have people come in and share their talents and gifts with others. We have music, family get togethers, birthday celebrations, along with recognizing our veterans who have served our country.
