Ruby A. Cramer of Chesaning, age 93, died Sunday, January 4, 2026, in Owosso. She was 93 years of age. She had worked for Magnetek Universal Electric from 1953 to 1994 and retired as a production supervisor. She was a member of Easton Church of Christ and the Hurd Extension. No services are planned at this time.

Edward Leonard Balamucki, formerly of St. Charles, age 96, entered his heavenly home on January 4, 2026. He was a 1947 graduate of Chesaning Union High School. Ed was an accomplished millwright and a man of many skills who enjoyed building and repairing things - he could fix anything. Ed’s hobby was woodworking and he built cabinets and furniture for many family members and friends throughout the years. He was always ready to step up and serve his community and he served as the Albee Township Supervisor from 1980-1984. Ed was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Christopher Council #2943 and an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Albee. His Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 708 Sanderson Street, in St. Charles.

Brenda Lee Wakefield of Marion Twp., age 68, died Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was a resident of the Chesaning area most of her life. She enjoyed being in the country, animals, playing games, singing Karaoke and especially being with family. Private services will be held at a later date.

Aaron W. Phillips of Oakley, age 42, died Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his residence. He graduated from Corunna High School. He was a gifted writer and brilliant with internet security and was once a guest speaker for Steve Jobs. He enjoyed rustic camping and fishing. No services are planned at this time.
