DID YOU KNOW Chesapeake Care Clinic processes hundreds of applications for medication programs offered by pharmaceutical companies for uninsured and low income patients. These medications are processed by our pharmacist and delivered by our licensed medical professional volunteers to patients during Pharmacy hours or at scheduled pick up times. We’re always looking for volunteers to provide needed services like licensed medical and dental professionals, administrative support, interpreters and maintenance. A special Clinic THANK YOU to Dr. Donahue after completing her Optometry residency. Chesapeake Care Clinic provides comprehensive eye care to eligible patients. The Clinic performs routine eye exams, prescribes corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) and manages ocular diseases (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy). Our licensed medical professionals also educate patients on preventive eye care, treatment options and lifestyle changes to maintain vision health. Chesapeake Care’s Dental Clinic welcomes back students Bailey and Grace for the summer semester. Chesapeake Care Clinic’s dental program offers an array of dental services to our patients. We provide preventative care including exams, cleanings, fillings and extractions. Our dental program collaborates with our pharmacists and primary care providers to help patients better understand the connection between oral health and their overall health. DID YOU KNOW Chesapeake Care Clinic’s Food Pantry had more than 250 families and more than 1,000 visits last year? Clinic volunteers pick up donated perishable and non-perishable food items from local grocery stores and deliver them to Chesapeake Care Clinic. The Clinic patients can “shop” for perishable and non-perishable food items during regular Clinic hours. We’re always looking for volunteers to provide needed services like licensed medical and dental professionals, administrative support, food pantry services, interpreters and maintenance.
