Donita M. Edwards hails from the vibrant city of Chesapeake, VA. Proudly raised by her parents, the esteemed retired pastor Reverend Dr. James Edwards, III, and Reverend Delores Winfield Edwards, she now cherishes her role as the mother of two incredible adult daughters, Blake and Blaire. She is also grandmother to a handsome young boy, Terrell Jr. Known affectionately as Dr. D, she serves as an Intercessor and Associate Minister, guided by the inspiring leadership of Pastor LJ and Dr. Keshia Brown at the Mount @ Chesapeake. Additionally, she is an active member of the respected Metro Ministers’ Conference of VA. A prolific writer, Dr. D has authored four books and is the dynamic host of a thriving social media platform called Disability in the Church LIVE.

I read a post today that was excellent. It spoke about freedom of speech. The person said, "Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences." As we're posting, be mindful of what we say and how we say it. If you're concerned that there may be backlash from your place of employment, then consider it carefully. Is it still worth posting? If it's really important, it's OK not to overly-share. If it's something you want to vent about, try calling a close friend first. Let's be impactful, yet using wisdom.
