When people feel emotionally safe, their bodies soften. When they feel seen, desire shows up, trust is steady, intimacy flows without forcing, proving, or performing. Chemistry might open the door, but safety decides whether anyone stays in the room. If you’re ready to unpack intimacy, attachment, and emotional safety more deeply, explore my resources link in bio. Depression in Black Folks: What We Don’t Talk About Enough
Depression in Black communities does not always look like sadness.
Sometimes it looks like productivity. Like jokes. Like survival. Like being “the strong one” who keeps showing up while quietly unraveling.
In this live, I’m naming what often goes unseen and untreated:
• How depression shows up when rest was never modeled
• Why strength, faith, and responsibility can mask emotional collapse
• The difference between being tired and being depleted
• How racism, generational pressure, and survival mode shape our mental health
• What healing looks like when you stop minimizing your pain to keep everyone else comfortable
This is not about diagnosing yourself.
This is about recognition. Language. Permission. Relief.
If you’ve ever thought:
“I don’t feel sad, just empty.”
“I can’t afford to fall apart.”
“I’m functioning, so I must be fine.”
This conversation is for you.
Stay for the full live if you want nuance, honesty, and tools that actually respect your lived experience.
If this resonates and you want deeper support beyond social media, explore my books, courses, and wellness tools linked in my bio.
