Understanding sleep apnea is made up of a complex manifestation of symptoms. There are certain schools of thought that are related to what cause it, but the understanding is that sleep apnea is usually a symptom of something else rather than it's own diagnosis.
Restorative physical therapy have a great team of therapists that can help with management of the symptoms associated with sleep apnea.

We wanted to take a moment to talk about some changes happening in January 2025 at Restorative Physical Therapy. After much thought, we have decided to go out of network with all Anthem and BCBS plans. While this will be upsetting for some, we hope that you understand we didn’t take this decision lightly. When Restorative Physical Therapy opened in 2016, providing top notch care was our main priority. With a continual reduction in payments from Anthem/BCBS, we cannot afford to stay in their network any longer.

How does this affect me as a patient?
If you are a current, established patient, we will continue to take Anthem/BCBS through the end of 2024. We will not be scheduling any new Anthem/BCBS patients as we are already booked out until December 2024 and this would disrupt continuity of care.

Treatment is still available to you if you have an Anthem or BCBS plan but you would be considered an out-of-network patient. Unfortunately, you will be required to self pay upfront. If you are in need of reimbursement from your insurance company, we can provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We appreciate your understanding during this transition and hope we can continue to treat any of your physical therapy needs.

Meet Jaclyn! Jaclyn studied at Ithaca College in New York, where she got her Bachelor’s in Clinical Science, along with her Master’s and Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She’s been focused on pelvic health since 2012 and is a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner, which means she knows how to diagnose and treat pelvic issues for people of all ages. Jaclyn is really passionate about helping her patients get back to feeling their best and improving their quality of life. Before diving into pelvic health, she worked in developmental pediatric physical therapy and still loves treating kids. Originally from New York City, she now lives in Chesapeake with her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and exploring local parks, beaches, and hiking trails with her family.
