A TENS unit (short for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) is a small device used for pain relief. It works by sending gentle electrical impulses through the skin to stimulate the nerves in the area where you place the electrode pads.

Here’s a quick overview:
• ⚡ Purpose: Helps reduce pain from muscle tension, joint pain, arthritis, nerve pain, or injuries.
• 🎛️ How it works: The electrical pulses can block pain signals from reaching the brain and also encourage the body to release endorphins (natural painkillers).
• 📍 Where to place pads: Depends on where you have pain — for example, near the lower back, shoulders, knees, or neck (but never over the heart, throat, or open wounds).
• 🕒 Typical use: 15–30 minutes at a time, a few times per day if needed.
• ⚠️ Precautions: Avoid using it if you have a pacemaker, are pregnant (on abdominal area), or have heart rhythm problems unless approved by a doctor.

Dr. Jim will be available Monday from 9am-1pm and 2:30-6pm, Wednesday afternoons from 2:30-6pm, and Thursday from 9am-1pm and 2:30-6pm.

Dr. Michael Ann Biggs will see patients Monday from 9am-1pm and 2:30-6pm, Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-6pm, and Wednesday from 9am-1pm and 2:30-6pm.

Dr. Julia will be available Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-6pm, Wednesday mornings from 9am-1pm, and Thursday from 9am-1pm and 2:30-6pm.

Don't forget to turn your clocks back on Sunday ⏰.
