What is OCD?
OCD stands for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. It's a mental health condition characterized by intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) that a person feels driven to perform in response to those thoughts. People with OCD often experience distress or anxiety if they don't perform these rituals or behaviors. OCD can significantly interfere with daily activities, relationships, and overall quality of life. It's essential to seek professional help if you suspect you or someone you know may be struggling with OCD.
