Saturday night, we were off to the races! 🐎

Our Kentucky Derby Party was a winning event with residents showing up in style, donning their finest outfits and most fabulous hat. It truly felt like Churchill Downs right here in our community! We enjoyed refreshing mint juleps and an array of snacks as we watched the horses run for the roses. We crowned our own winners for best hat, best dressed, and to whoever guessed the correct horse!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this celebration so memorable. We can’t wait for next year’s race!

Mondays are for making memories!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to lunch, filled with great food and even better company. This week’s stop was Chicken Salad Chick, where everyone had fun trying a variety of delicious chicken salad flavors!

Laughter, good conversation, and shared meals make these moments so special. We’re already looking forward to our next Monday adventure! 🚌

Bingo Saturday was a extra special this week 💕

Instead of playing her usual bingo game, one of our residents volunteered to hold the our Executive Director’s granddaughter so she could call numbers. Even as an avid bingo player, she knew that time with the baby so much better than bingo! Look at that smile!

Tiny fingers, soft giggles, and bringing back so many beautiful memories of both children and grandchildren. We loved having our little special guest at bingo Saturday!

Days like Saturday remind us how meaningful connection across generations can be ❤️🍼

Today’s pet therapy visit brought so many smiles and a whole lot of tail wags!

Did you know these furry friends do more than just brighten our day? The PAW-sitive effects are truly amazing:
🐾 Pets help reduce stress and anxiety by lowering cortisol and boosting those feel-good hormones like serotonin
🐾 Just 15 minutes with a therapy animal can lift mood and ease feelings of loneliness
🐾 Pet visits encourage social connection and conversation among residents

From gentle cuddles to joyful laughter, today was a reminder that sometimes the best therapy has four paws and a wagging tail!

Today’s outing was a ride down memory lane! 🚗

Our Harmony Square residents enjoyed a special lunch at Hotrodders in Chesapeake! They loved not only the great burgers but the vintage car decor as well, sharing smiles, laughs and lots of memories.

Outings like this remind us that there’s nothing better than good food, great company, and a little throwback charm!

Today our community had the honor of giving back to some true heroes ❤️

We delivered homemade lasagna to three local fire stations as a thank you to the firefighters who supported us during our recent fire and flood situation. Their dedication and care meant so much to our residents, and it was incredibly special to recognize their bravery!

Our residents absolutely loved it! Nothing beats seeing the smiles on the firefighters’ faces and being able to thank them in person. We even brought along one of our resident pups, who was a big hit 🐾

We are so grateful for the opportunity to show our appreciation and spread a little joy today! And this is just the beginning: we’re looking forward to visiting three more stations on Thursday!
