Yesterday, we had our Harmony Square residents strike a pose for our Glamour Shots program! 📸

The room was filled with big smiles,
laughter, and joyful moments as everyone cheered for their friends during their pictures. With plenty of fun poses and happy faces all around, it turned into a moment we’ll be smiling about for a long time. These are the moments that truly brighten our days and make our community shine 💙

At Oakbrooke, our team is more than a staff - we’re family ⭐️

Our Activity Assistant, Trey, is usually the friendly face calling bingo, teaching exercise, or driving residents to appointments. But when our community needed him most, he stepped up in a big way. Trey helped transport residents to the hotel, made sure everyone got settled safely, and kept things calm during a stressful time.

His compassion, leadership, and steady presence made all the difference. We’re incredibly grateful for Trey and proud to have him as such an important part of the Oakbrooke family.

The Harmony bus has you covered! Every Wednesday our Independent Living and Assisted Living residents have the opportunity to go to the store for all the essentials.

Our weekly Mah jongg group is the perfect mix of strategy, laughter, and great company!

Mah jongg is a classic tile-based game that combines strategy, memory, and a little luck. Played in a small group, it’s a wonderful way to keep the mind active. Our residents often describe it as poker with tiles!

We had a tea-rific time at our afternoon tea party! 🫖

Our Harmony Square residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea party with fresh strawberries, cupcakes and hot tea. Our residents loved chatting while they enjoyed their warm drinks on a cold day, discussing the upcoming snowstorm and reminiscing together.

Today we had the absolute joy of celebrating a very special milestone: a 90th birthday party filled with laughter and love! 🎂

Our birthday resident was surrounded by family, fellow residents, and staff members who stopped by to share well wishes and celebrate.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable. Here’s to 90 wonderful years and many more happy moments ahead! Happy birthday Joyce!

Spaghetti Tower Challenge 🍝

Residents enjoyed watching the towers come together as Maintenance Director, Makao and Life Enrichment Director, Gillian used marshmallows and pasta to build these crazy structures. The residents were amazed at how sturdy they turned out. Who knew pasta could be such a strong building material?

Lots of smiles, laughter, and creativity all around!
