Our founder Olivia George started The Sleeping Bear after a car accident caused lasting injuries to herself and her husband. Frustrated with the lack of remedies and exceeding cost of similar products, she began looking for a way to create a better solution using essential oils. After spending several days conducting research and consultations with aromatherapists our first synergies, Clear Skies and Renew, were created. With the encouragement of friends and family, The Sleeping Bear was formed in hopes to help others who could benefit in the same way her family had. Today, we offer a variety of bath bombs, shower steamers, lip balms and roll-on synergies with new products ideas still rolling out. We hope you are ready to join our journey whether for the purpose of relaxing, relief, or even a bit of fun. Olivia lives with her husband, Josh, and their son, Connor in Chesapeake, VA. When not making bath bombs, she enjoys spending time with her family and horses, especially if it includes camping in Shenandoah National Park. WHAT'S IN A NAME? Our name, The Sleeping Bear, originated from Connor's favorite stuffed animal - a black bear named S'mores. Because of this, you'll notice several of our products keep the theme with our s'mores and blackberry (beary patch) fragrances. DOWN IN THE HOLLOW

Checkout our newest product, shower bombs! These neat bombs produce a luxurious mousse for washing. Their slightly gritty texture makes for a great scrub and they are topped off with skin nourishing cocoa butter and avocado oil.

We plan to release several variations of the shower bombs depending on their popularity and demand. Look for Agave and Moonlight to be added soon.

I forgot how much I love wet soap ♥️ Poppy will hit the shelves again in time for Easter! We are back to full production and fully moved into our new location on S. Battlefield Blvd. While it's primarily a workshop space, we are now open to drop ins and in person meet and greets at the shop.
