Nutrients from foods are better 🍇🍉🥑🌽🍗🍖🥗

MYTH – although we can get vitamins, minerals, and nutrients we need to live from the foods and drink that we ingest, there are variables that can affect the bioavailability of nutrients 💉💊. Our bodies absorb less than 50% of the vitamins and minerals we consume via the gut, where we absorb them 100% at the cellular level when given those nutrients directly to our blood system via an I.V.

Ex: certain foods when cooked too little or too much may not release all the vitamins and minerals contained inside. The storage of food affects nutrient levels, and as you read above, we’ve already considered the effects of digestion.

Happy Veterans Day to all of our friends and family who have served our country. iVy staff are so very grateful for all of the time you spent away from your own family, so we could be safe at home with ours.
