If you are missing a loved one as you prepare for this Thanksgiving, be kind to yourself. Your feelings are valid and normal. Miss them. Cry. Speak their name. Honor them. Do what feels right for YOU.❤️

If you know someone who is grieving this Thanksgiving, please show them kindness and compassion. Grieving people don’t need to be reminded to be thankful for what they have. Instead, offer them your support and understanding during this challenging time, acknowledging that healing takes its own course, and that their pain is valid even amidst the season of gratitude.

This week, we’re celebrating one of our outstanding nurses — Antoinette Tinsley, LPN!

Antoinette has been a cherished member of the Medi Home Health family for over five and a half years, and in that time, she has truly become a shining example of dedication, compassion, and professionalism. Her calm presence, strong clinical skills, and genuine care make a lasting impact on everyone she encounters.

Antoinette’s wonderful work ethic and kindhearted nature set her apart. She approaches each day with quiet confidence, always putting her patients’ needs first and ensuring they receive the very best care. Her compassion is evident in every interaction — from supporting her patients through their recovery to offering comfort and understanding to their families.

She’s also an incredible teammate, always willing to lend a helping hand and support her coworkers with positivity and grace. It’s easy to see why both our staff and families absolutely adore her!

Andrew has been a valued part of the Medi Home Health and Hospice family for nearly two years, and during that time, he has truly made his mark. Covering the Southwestern Hampton Roads area — including Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Suffolk — Andrew plays a key role in one of our fastest-growing and most dynamic service regions.

Despite the challenges that come with such a large territory, Andrew consistently delivers clinical excellence, compassion, and top-tier customer service. He’s known for his upbeat attitude, willingness to help wherever needed, and his commitment to ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

Whether he’s providing in-services for assisted living facilities, lending a hand to our hospice team, or picking up extra visits even when he’s not on call, Andrew always goes above and beyond for his patients and colleagues alike. His positivity and dedication truly set him apart.

When he’s not caring for patients, you can find Andrew enjoying some well-deserved downtime on the golf course, out on the slopes, or hiking a new trail.

This week, we're sending a big shoutout to Kimberly Mauer, OT, one of the incredible forces behind our care team in Hampton Roads!

Although Kim has only been with us for just under 7 months, she’s already made a huge impact—bringing with her a wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion that has seamlessly elevated the level of care we provide. Her rapid integration into our team has helped us continue delivering truly holistic, patient-centered care.

Outside of work, Kim lives a full and vibrant life with her husband and kids. But what really sets her apart? She’s also an active member of a social motorcycle club that focuses on community service and giving back. Whether it’s building handicap ramps or completing critical home repairs, Kim is out there making sure people can remain safe and independent in their homes.

Her heart for service, both in and out of the workplace, is a true reflection of the incredible person she is. We’re beyond lucky to have her on our team.
