🌟 Thankful Thursday Spotlight: Nicole Labella, RN 🌟

This week, we are proud to shine our Thankful Thursday spotlight on Nicole Labella, RN!

Nicole has been a valued member of the Medi Home Health family for the past four years. Serving as our weekend Baylor RN, she handles a wide range of nursing visits - including complex cases - and travels many miles to ensure her patients receive the care they need.

In addition to her in-person visits, Nicole triages calls from our on-call center and helps coordinate PRN visits for patients requiring urgent assistance. As an experienced wound care nurse, she's a trusted resource for our clinical team, offering both guidance and education. Nicole is always willing to lend a hand with training and mentorship, bringing a spirit of teamwork and support wherever she goes. But it's Nicole's compassion that truly sets her apart. Known for her kindness and dedication, she often goes above and beyond.

It's no surprise that her patients frequently request her by name, touched by her care and genuine concern.

Nicole, thank you for the unwavering dedication, support, and heart you bring to our team and your patients. We are so proud to have you as part of the Medi family!

September is National Cholesterol Education Month! 🩺✨ It’s the perfect time to take charge of your heart health. Here are some tips to help you manage your cholesterol:

🥗 Eat heart-healthy foods like fruits, veggies, and whole grains
🏃‍♂️ Get moving with at least 30 minutes of exercise daily
🛑 Avoid trans fats and limit saturated fats
💧 Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy weight

This week, we’re giving heartfelt appreciation to someone who truly keeps our operations running smoothly behind the scenes — Andrea Zook, our most senior Clinical Manager at Medi Home Health and Hospice!

Andrea is not only a pillar of knowledge and experience, but she’s also deeply respected by both administration and her fellow coworkers. She leads our incredible nursing team with calm confidence and a high level of trust that she’s earned through years of dedication and excellence.

From managing complex processes like on-call scheduling and ensuring our nurses have the supplies needed to care for wounds, catheters, IVs, and labs — to overseeing the essential documentation that keeps us compliant and properly reimbursed — Andrea is the heartbeat of the back end of our business.

Her work ethic is second to none — often the first person in the office and the last to leave. And somehow, through it all, she remains one of the kindest and most gentle souls you’ll ever meet.

🌟 Spotlight: Cedar Stratmann 🌟

This week, we’re shining a well-deserved light on Cedar Stratmann, our incredible DME Location Manager!

Cedar’s journey with us is a true testament to passion and purpose. She began her professional path working with children and in 2021, felt a calling to shift careers — joining the Medi Home Care family! While she still gives her heart to children through her church, she quickly became a valued part of our intake team, then grew into the role of Documentation Specialist, and in August of 2024 was promoted to DME Location Manager.

From day one, Cedar has gone above and beyond. Her compassionate nature and dedication to both patients and staff make her a standout leader. She ensures that our Home Health and Hospice patients receive their equipment promptly, and she never hesitates to go the extra mile to support families during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Cedar is known by her team as one of the most present, involved, and heartfelt managers we’ve ever had. Her impact is immeasurable — and we are so lucky to have her.

This week's shoutout goes to Tiffany Pacifico, our Regional Director of Marketing!

Tiffany's journey with Medi Home Health and Hospice is nothing short of inspiring. She began in 2020 as a Patient Care Coordinator, quickly proved herself as an invaluable asset, and rose through the ranks—first as an Account Executive, then Director of Marketing for Chesapeake, and now proudly serving as Regional Director of Marketing over Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina!

In her current role, Tiffany travels throughout our territories, visiting various accounts and offering guidance to families during what can be a very emotional and vulnerable time. Her compassion, professionalism, and in-depth knowledge help make those transitions into care as smooth and supportive as possible.

Tiffany is also a nurse by trade, which means she can confidently answer both clinical and non-clinical questions for patients and their families. Her medical background, paired with her marketing expertise, makes her uniquely equipped to handle each situation with insight, grace, and empathy.

She approaches every patient with dignity and respect, ensuring that both patients and families feel heard, supported, and prepared as they begin services with us.

Tiffany is a true force of nature—her magnetic personality lights up every room she walks into, and her dedication behind the scenes ensures our intake team has everything they need to give patients the best possible start. She is not only admired by the families we serve, but also deeply loved and appreciated by our entire team.

Since joining Medi in 2022, Gloria has led our nursing scheduling with incredible dedication. In May, she led a beautiful “Blessing of the Hands” ceremony for our Newport News clinicians—recognizing each team member by name in a heartfelt tribute.

Jennifer came on board in 2024 and has quickly become a core member of the team. She oversees Physical and Occupational Therapy scheduling and supports our Home Health Aide coordination as well.
