Job Title: Receptionist – Mental Health Office
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Location: South Point
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
The Receptionist will manage front desk duties, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the office runs smoothly. This role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work with individuals who may be experiencing emotional or mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Client Support
Greet clients warmly and check them in for appointments
Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls as needed
Provide general information about services, scheduling policies, and intake procedures
Scheduling & Administrative Tasks
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule client appointments
Maintain provider calendars and coordinate availability
Manage the waiting room flow
Process new client intake forms and ensure documentation is complete
Maintain accurate client records in the electronic health system
Office Coordination
Handle incoming and outgoing mail
Keep front office area clean, organized, and professional
Support clinicians and administrative staff with clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Prior receptionist or administrative experience preferred (healthcare or mental health setting a plus)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Comfortable working with clients in distress or crisis
Basic computer proficiency and experience with scheduling systems
Organized, dependable, and comfortable multitasking
