I am truly in awe when I think about the families who have allowed me to serve them as they welcomed their babies. For all my sweet clients- I am so grateful for your trust and for allowing me to have a glimpse into the miracle that is your family. Could this family be any sweeter?! Say hello to Ayva, everyone! She was born in the loveliest home birth just a couple days before Christmas. Her parents, Emily and Arron, set up the most beautiful birth space. This first time mama was so strong that she labored to complete without any help! When I arrived at her home, she was already beginning to push. We called her midwife and she fortunately was able to make it in time for Emily to welcome her sweet girl in a water birth. Ayva weighed 7lb 12oz and had the cutest little cheeks!! Blessings to your wonderful family- thank you for allowing me to serve you!

Bennett is here! This sweet boy joined his parents, Sarah and Jacob, in December. He’s just the sweetest little guy! Sarah was such a trooper through a long induction process. She and Jacob worked together and did alllll the things to get Bennett to come faster, but some babies just like to take their time! She was rewarded for her strength and efforts as her 7lb14oz boy was born and placed on her chest! It was such a pleasure to serve your sweet family!

Say hello to Penelope! This sweet girl is nothing short of a miracle. She joined her parents, Michelle and Joe, in November. They worked so beautifully to achieve the unmedicated homebirth that Michelle desired. But, as babies sometimes do, Penelope shifted their plan a little. Michelle pushed for several hours at home when Penelope’s heart rate showed that it might be safer if she was born in a hospital. Their midwife suggested a transfer, and Michelle and Joe agreed. Michelle was transported to the hospital and delivered her sweet girl just moments after arrival. Penelope came out weighing 8lb3oz and measuring 21” long. She did have to spend some time in the NICU, but fortunately came home after a week and settled in beautifully with her parents. The Lord’s hand was in every step of her creation, from conception to birth. I’m so crazy proud of you guys and grateful for the opportunity to serve you! Also a huge thanks to .medrano for covering a couple hours while I was finishing at another delivery!

How sweet is Shiloh?! Born last October (yes, I’m so behind…), this sweet girl made her appearance in the loveliest home birth. Weighing in at 7lb 3oz, Shiloh joins her parents, Kate and Randy, and her four older siblings! Kate labored like a pro, following her body’s urges and getting in positions she felt she needed to get into. After what felt like a stalled space, a couple of forward leaning inversions kicked things off and Kate’s labor took a hard turn. Shiloh was born just a couple hours later in the sweet birth space they had created in their bedroom. It was such a pleasure to serve this sweet family! Congratulations!!

Welcome to the world, Nicolas! This sweet 9lb 6oz boy made his arrival in October. I was so honored to attend the birth of his big brother, Atlas, a couple of years ago. His parents, Angela and Miles, planned a homebirth, as their experience with Atlas in the hospital had gone very smoothly and quickly. But Nicolas had other plans! After laboring at home for many hours, her midwife discovered that this sweet little peanut had turned breech during labor. Angela was given the choice between us staying at home to deliver him there or going to the nearest hospital and likely having a cesarean. She chose the latter, as she had been in labor for a while and she still had a ways to go before delivery. Angela did an amazing job listening to her body and trusting her gut. Nicolas was born a few hours later and welcomed with the most loving hugs and kisses. What a perfect reminder that ALL births are beautiful and special. I am just so proud of you guys for being flexible and knowing when the time was right to pivot your birth wishes. It was such a blessing to serve you again, and !

I am so grateful for all the baby clothes, blankets, and women/children shoes that have been donated for my trip to the DR. Last call for anybody who might have things laying around- I’m accepting baby clothes 0-6m, twin fitted sheets, and women and children’s shoes! I’m happy to come pick up this week or Saturday.

Say hello to Maisie!!! She’s just the sweetest! Maisie joined her parents, Nicole and Garrett, and big sister Violet, this past August. When I tell you she was in a hurry, I mean it! Nicole‘s water broke in the middle of the night. Things ramped up quickly, and when she arrived at the hospital an hour later, she was almost completely dilated! And, in a most impressive entrance, Maisie came into the world weighing 9ln 13oz! Nicole’s focus and strength was so inspiring, and Garrett never left her side. It was the most beautiful way to start a day! Congratulations to your sweet family, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of this sacred moment!

I’m so excited to be joining this team on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic in three weeks! I am still collecting baby clothes (0-6m), women and children’s shoes, and fitted twin sheets. If you would like to donate, please let me know. I’m happy to come to you to pick up in the next two weeks. Thank you so much to those of you who have already donated clothes and money. Thank you for blessing the families we will serve!

Oh, sweet Eden! She was in such a hurry to join her beautiful family that she decided to come very quickly- before her mom’s midwife or doula could even arrive! Morgan and Brian prepped and planned for a peaceful, Christ-centered homebirth. Their beautiful daughter understood the assignment and was born in their bathroom with just her mom and dad. Eden joined her parents and four older siblings at home this past summer. And even though she was born before I arrived, it was still the most beautiful honor to be welcomed into her postpartum space, where God was praised, laughs were had, kids waded in an unused birth pool, and snuggles were abundant! Everyone say hi to Juneau!! She joined her sweet family in August, and I am just over the moon for them! There’s something so special about watching a family grow, and their story is really beautiful. I have had the privilege of serving Liz and Keagan three times over the past four years, watching Liz’s births evolve from fear-driven and traumatic to peaceful, healing, and restorative. Juneau was born at home, surrounded by people who love her. The past year also brought two extra special sisters to them, bringing them to a lovely family of 7! They are fierce, bold, and I can’t wait to see how the Lord works through them as their family continues to make waves in this world!
