We recently hiked Cascade Falls Day Area, in southwest Virginia. It’s a beautiful, maintained trail with bridges, stone steps and the occasional log to navigate up-and-over (or under). The dog acted like she was heeding the call of the wild! 🐕😅

I was enjoying myself, the forest, and the warm Fall day, when I suddenly found myself face down on both hands, shins balanced on the stone step I was climbing. I had simultaneously slipped and tripped, catching myself somehow, head inches from the next step. I managed to avoid any injury because I’ve been working out, doing a little weight training, running, rowing, and stretches. I don’t engage in an intense workout routine, but it’s enough to maintain strength, stamina, balance, and reflexes. I want to keep doing what I love, with the people I love. We want to have active vacations and new adventures.

This is my WHY. I don’t really love working out, but I love that I can climb hills and ski down them, and my family and I are having some really fun experiences together. I want to encourage you, too, and help you stay active with the folks you love. 🍁🍂💪.
