💜 Curvy Girls Scoliosis Support Group – Virginia Beach Chapter 💜

Living with scoliosis can feel overwhelming — but no one has to go through it alone. Curvy Girls is a peer-led support group just for girls with scoliosis, providing a safe, supportive space to share experiences and build confidence together.

🌟 Team Tuesday Spotlight: Kalysta 🌟

Meet Kalysta, one of our amazing Office Assistants here at Coastal! If you’ve been greeted with a friendly smile at the front desk, there’s a good chance it was hers!

🫶 Kalysta considers Chesapeake, VA her hometown — even though she moved around a bit growing up with military parents, she spent 16 years in the area and attended Greenbrier schools.

🏖️ She’s a beach lover through and through — nothing beats the sand between her toes and the sound of the waves. Summer was always beach season growing up, whether at the oceanfront or Bowers Beach in Delaware.

🎓 Fun fact: Kalysta skipped 11th grade, graduated high school in 2018 as the youngest in her class, and was runner-up for Salutatorian!

🎶 She’s a playlist girl all the way — music is her go-to for cleaning, driving, or just vibing through the day.

🐦 While she doesn’t currently have pets, she’s had cats, a dog, and even a bird in the past!

☕️ Coffee and tea fan, early bird by necessity (thanks to her adorable one-year-old!), and someone who finds joy in both learning and teaching — her proudest Coastal moment was training another team member and realizing how much knowledge she had to share.

👩‍👧 The beautiful photo we’re sharing today is from a flower show she attended with her daughter, Evelyn, in Philadelphia — one of Kalysta’s favorite memories. She loves introducing Evelyn to new things, especially in nature. 🦋💐

We’re so lucky to have Kalysta on the Coastal team! 💙

🎉 Today we turned 24! 🎉

It was a busy day in the office — not just with a full schedule of patients, but also celebrating 24 incredible years of Coastal! We’re so grateful for every opportunity we’ve had to care for our patients, partner with our referral sources, and grow alongside our amazing team.

To everyone who’s been a part of the journey — whether for a moment or for decades — thank you. Your trust and support mean everything.
