We are happy to welcome you back to the office after the CDC and American Optometric Association mandated pause in some of our services. We are changing our protocols to reflect the COVID-19 pandemic necessity to respect social distancing, protect our doctors and staff and of course, you, our valued patients.
With that in mind, here are some changes to our regular processes to ensure everyone's safety:
1-If you have not been in the office in the past 3 months, you will receive a separate email shortly from TouchHealth (secure portal) to fill out all the necessary information we need to make your appointment as efficient and smooth as possible. We asked that you kindly fill out this information and submit it AT LEAST 24h prior to your appointment. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
2-We ask that only scheduled patients enter the office unless the patient is a minor or requires assistance during the exam. Other family members or drivers are kindly asked to stay in the car as we will not allow anyone to stay in the waiting area inside the office.
3-When arriving for the appointment, please call or text 757-255-1330 to notify us you are here with details about the make, model and color of the car you are driving. Also have your ID and insurance cards ready for us. Please wear a mask or face covering to your appointment as they are required to enter the office. One of our staff will come out and greet you, check your temperature and go over the COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to entering the office. If our technicians are not quite ready to take you into an exam room, you will be asked to remain in the car until they can es**rt you inside.
