At ACS, we’re committed to supporting our community with real tools for real struggles. Here are 3 quick tips for managing extreme anxiety when it hits:

1️⃣ Ground Yourself – Use the 5-4-3-2-1 method: Name 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste.
2️⃣ Breathe Deep – Try box breathing: Inhale 4 seconds, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4.
3️⃣ Talk It Out – Reach out to someone you trust or seek professional support. Talking breaks the cycle of panic.
