Several years ago I delivered my last baby. Last month I did my last hysterectomy and on 3/17/26 I saw my last patient. After many wonderful and happy years, I have closed my practice and retired from the practice of medicine.
I am working on an agreement with another practice to become the custodian of medical records, but until that happens, probably in the summer, The phone number (757-410-7390) fax ( 757-410-7395) and web site with Patient portal will remain operational for the function of providing medical records.
In most cases, patients will not need paper copies of their records, but rather, should fill out a HIPAA compliant records request form at their new provider or their P*P. That way the records can be efficiently sent electronically at no cost

ACOG's latest on the COVID vaccine for pregnant and breastfeeding moms:
ACOG recommends that COVID-19 vaccines should not be withheld from pregnant individuals who meet criteria for vaccination based on ACIP-recommended priority groups.
COVID-19 vaccines should be offered to lactating individuals similar to non-lactating individuals when they meet criteria for receipt of the vaccine based on prioritization groups outlined by the ACIP.

Note that not withheld is not the same as advocating that they get the vaccine.

Getting my COVID vaccine. I understand the fears and concerns that others have but I can definitely say that I'm less nervous than if I was about to actually get COVID.
I will post updates as soon as it is clear what pregnant and breast feeding moms should do. Until then, stay safe and mask up. The end is in sight

Not only does regular exercise lead to stronger pelvic floor muscles, but it also shortens both the pushing phase of labor and the pre-pushing phase. And while exercise does not increase bladder leakage, to decrease leakage, specific pelvic floor exercises need to be done.
