❤️ February is Heart Health Month.

Heart attack symptoms can look different for everyone and don’t always start with chest pain. Early signs may include nausea, lightheadedness, cold sweats, shortness of breath, or discomfort in the arm, back, neck, or jaw. Knowing the signs supports a healthier heart.

Today, our Health Educator, Hilary Norcia, collaborated with the Wolcott Fire Marshal's Office and the Red Cross to bring the Steps to Safety Program to the Seniors at the Wolcott Senior Center! We have also visited Cheshire and Prospect senior centers as well!

This program discusses practical ways to prevent fires and falls at home. From smoke alarms to escape planning, these small actions can make a life-saving difference. The program also includes home visits where the Red Cross and Chesprocott will come to your home to assess the safety of your house and make recommendations. 💡🚒

Thank you to the Wolcott Senior Center for hosting this program!

Be on the look out for future presentation dates!
