Established in 1996, Assisted Living Services, Inc. provides quality in-home elder care services and home care to clients and their families throughout Connecticut.
The company today has more than 400 staff and caregivers providing a broad range of home care services to clients in 50+ townships in Connecticut. All of our staff are screened, employed, insured and supervised by Assisted Living Services, Inc.
Assisted Living Services is owned and operated by Sharon and Ron D’Aquila. Sharon’s previous work experience is with the Connecticut State Police and Ron is a Registered Nurse with over thirty years of acute care, community health and management experience.
In addition, the company is truly family-owned and operated, with both son’s Mario D’Aquila, MBA, COO, Nicholas D’Aquila, MBA, Director of Information Systems heavily involved in operations.
The entire management staff bring the right balance of reliability, trustworthiness, and dedication to high quality service.
Our History
Owner Sharon D’Aquila experienced first-hand the ups and downs of caring for an elderly loved one who wished to live in his home as long as possible. Her grandfather’s Alzheimer’s progressed to the point where he needed constant supervision and assistance with activities of daily living. As she pursued resources to assist in his care, she recognized a lack of quality non-medical in-home services. While balancing life at home and caring for her grandfather, Sharon hired a quality caregiver to help out with assisting in his daily care.
Recognizing the demand for a quality reliable agency that employed such experienced caregivers, Sharon and her husband Ron ventured out to start a business that provided the much-needed services for elderly individuals in CT. Based on this experience, Sharon and Ron established Assisted Living Services, one of the fastest growing businesses of its type in Connecticut.
