What an incredible weekend at the Clinical Leadership Development Institute!

We were honored to welcome 33 dedicated professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, behavioral health specialists, dental providers, and more, from 8 states for an intensive 2-day leadership training.

A huge thank you to National Association of Community Health Centers for your collaboration and partnership. We can’t wait to see these amazing leaders take the next steps in their careers and continue driving innovation and excellence in Community Health!

Our Chief Strategy Officer Deb Polun participated in the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives session on HR 1 this week. Connecticut's health centers need a robust workforce to continue to provide high quality medical, dental, and behavioral health care to all people - regardless of ability to pay. Together with Connecticut Hospital Association & CT Association of Health Plans, we discussed how to weather the many federal changes coming, leverage the Rural Health Transformation Grant, and create a healthier Connecticut!

CHC/ACT and CT's health centers are working with CT Department of Social Services and others to generate ideas for the new Rural Health Transformation Program.

Community Health & Wellness CEO Joanne Borduas tells Connecticut Mirror that her area of the state could benefit from "things like tax credits or loan repayments or something that incentivizes them to say, ‘Yes, I want to go to this very far northwest corner" of Connecticut.

CT could get at least $500 million over the next five years, starting in 2026. The grant was part of President Trump’s 'big beautiful bill.'
