We’re excited to share that our Young Adult Group is returning for the Summer!

This group has been such a meaningful experience for both our team and participants in the past. We're thrilled to offer it again for young people navigating the often complex transition into adulthood.
This group is designed not only to foster same-age social connections but also to explore the real-world challenges young adults face today.

Whether your young adult is preparing for college, work, or just looking to connect with peers and grow their confidence, this group offers a supportive, engaging environment to do just that.

Based on Dr. Chris’ experiences at the University of Hartford, we are offering a 4 week college readiness program to help students prepare mentally, emotionally and socially for the college experience. A strong emphasis will be placed on building communication skills with professors, executive function skills, finding your niche and creating healthy social relationships. We will also cover how to access accommodations and ways to ensure you are accessing supports in the most effective way. Participants in this group should be enrolled in a college experience (e.g., transition year, 2 or 4 year program). They should have access to a computer and be ready to navigate their student portals, various school-based on line platforms (e.g. Blackboard, etc) and be ready to explore different aspects of the college they will be attending in terms of services, clubs, etc. This 1.5 hour summer session will be led by Dr. Chris and an Intern from the University of Hartford.
