When extra support is needed for sitting, standing, or walking, Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) offers a personalized approach to help children build strength, balance, coordination, and motor skills.

In this video, Kaitlyn Kelly, PT, DPT, explains how DMI uses hands-on movement activities and individualized exercises to support children with a variety of motor challenges and diagnoses that impact movement development.

DMI intensives provide repeated opportunities to practice skills in a supportive environment, helping children work toward meaningful progress through movement and neuroplasticity.

Happy National Physical Fitness and Sports Month! 💪

To celebrate, Stef Alia, DPT, Physical Therapist at CFZ, shares a quick exercise you can challenge yourself to try this month.

Try a wall sit in a 90/90 position and hold for as long as you can.

This exercise strengthens the quads and glutes, which play a key role in functional mobility.

Functional mobility supports everyday movements like climbing stairs, getting up from the floor, and squatting.

In pediatric physical therapy, we focus on building these skills to support more confident, independent movement!
