The holidays are just around the corner! This time of year is full of fun and gatherings, but all the excitement can sometimes feel overwhelming for kids 🍁

Ms. Meghan Weeks, Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), and Ms. Teagan Devoe, Physical Therapist (DPT), are sharing a simple calming strategy to try:

Create your own Calming Turkey 🦃
-Draw, print, or trace your hand to make a turkey.
-Then slowly trace each feather 🪶 with your finger, taking a deep breath for every feather you pass.

A quick, easy way for kids to reset and feel more regulated during holiday excitement!

We opened a new session of our Baby & Me Program, starting Wednesday, November 12th!
The Baby & Me Swim Program is an entry-level group class led by Physical Therapist Amanda Morgan for children ages 6 months to 2 years and their caregivers. Kids will learn early water skills like kicking, floating, breath control, and balance through songs, play, and gentle aquatic movement.
Program Details:
• Begins Wednesday, November 12th
• 10:00–10:30 AM
• 6 sessions – $175 per child
• Location: Cheshire Fitness Zone Pool, 10 George Ave, Cheshire, CT

We are planning to offer a feeding education workshop series led by our pediatric therapists at Cheshire Fitness Zone at our Cheshire, CT location. These workshops are designed for caregivers of infants and young children based on developmental stage, not age.

This will be a multidiscipline series, and physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists will be joining to teach certain topics. We are considering two series and would like your input to help guide scheduling, structure, and level of interest. Thank you!

🎃 Our AAC lead, Caitlyn Koster, SLP, shows how simple AAC supports like bracelets and bucket labels can help kids feel confident while trick-or-treating.
These tools give children a way to communicate that feels comfortable for them during all the excitement.

New six-week sessions begin November 7th and 8th, led by trained Physical and Occupational Therapists with one-to-one instruction.

Now offering Lil’ Splashers (Ages 2–3) – eligibility based on pre-screening
Super Splashers (Ages 3–12) also available

Each session includes:
• One-to-one customized swim lessons
• Water acclimation
• Swim skills development

Program Cost: $475 for six weeks
🍂 Friday Fall Special: $50 off for sessions beginning before 3 PM on Fridays!
