EDIT: Since there seems to be some confusion to the part-time work we are looking for. This position is not an administrative position. This position is focused on helping the Funeral Director conduct services, such as opening doors, greeting families and guest, helping seat family and pallbearers for the service. Moving flowers from place to place, assisting with the casket/urn during the service in and out of the chapel or church before and after the service. Must be clean cut and a suite and tie or nice pants suite (for ladies) is a must.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Funeral Home Assistant. This role supports daily operations and helps provide respectful, professional service to families during sensitive times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with preparation and setup for funeral and memorial services
• Greet and guide visitors, ensuring a welcoming and respectful environment
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility
• Assist with transportation of flowers, equipment, and supplies
• Provide general support during services, including ushering and directing attendees
• Handle phone calls and basic inquiries with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and compassion
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends as needed)
• Valid driver’s license may be required
Preferred Qualities:
• Calm demeanor under pressure
• Respectful and professional appearance
• Willingness to learn and support a team-oriented environment
Compensation:
• Hourly pay based on experience
