Do not merely see what is going on…be what is going on. Look for how you can participate in a meaningful and significant manner, then immerse yourself in giving unique value to what is happening 🤗. Keep yourself aware and informed about the world around you, but not just for the sake of amusement. Engage yourself in making positive contributions 😏. Though you obviously and absolutely cannot do everything, you always and absolutely can do something. Generously and thoughtfully determine what that is and get yourself involved 🤔. You are at your best when you act, when you interact, when you join in, listen, speak, commit your time and skills. Doing so is beneficial for others and great for you 😉. Consider how you can be a part of what’s going on in a helpful and productive way. Participate, and expand upon the richness of life 🤓.

Are you waiting for the perfect day to put your plans into action? Unfortunately, the perfect day will never come. Nonetheless, today is entirely acceptable for taking action and making progress on a future lingering in your imagination. So go ahead, take action today even though the situation is not perfect. You’ve listed all the excuses time and time again. This time, step firmly beyond them. Perhaps you were expecting better conditions, more time and resources than what you have now. Stop doubting yourself. You are capable of going forward with the way things are. The results are what matter, not the excuses. Today is when you can begin to create those results. Stop wishing and waiting for perfect. Go with what’s possible, and work to make plenty of good things happen.

“I served you for ten years and this is what I get in return? Please, give me ten days respite, then feed me to the dogs,” the servant begged the king. The king agreed. The servant then went to the keeper of the wild dogs and asked if he could help him take care of the dogs for the next ten days. The keeper was baffled, but agreed.

So for the next ten days, the servant served the dogs. He fed them, bathed them and played with them. He took them out for exercise, stroked them and spoke kind words to them. When the ten days were up, the king arrived to witness his servant being thrown to the dogs. But when the servant was thrown into the cage, something unexpected happened…when the servant was thrown into the cage full of wild dogs, instead of tearing him to shreds, the dogs gathered round him and began to lick him.

The king was surprised at this sight so he asked what had happened to his dogs. The servant replied. “I served these dogs for only ten days, yet they never forgot what I did for them. But I served you for ten years, and you forgot all of that at my first mistake.” Upon hearing this, the king realized his mistake and set the servant free.

This story teaches us about always remember the acts of kindness done to you and not taking into account the mistakes. We all make mistakes, because we are humans beings, that’s why we have to keep in mind two important things: first, being grateful and honor everyone who helps us; second, we have to be ready to help the ones who need it.

Whether you are a supervisor or an employee...take care in how you handle those who have served you well.

Shannon Rogers is the CEO of Superior Business which offers a wide range of business and consulting services 🤓. She also helps businesses get funding through grants and coaches parents on starting vending machines for their kids so that children can learn entrepreneurship now. Her Husband came to my table at a Vendor Event and returned to Shannon when I mentioned that my product helps shift attitudes in a positive light during that time of the month 🧐. As a result, Shannon stopped by to hear more as she is open to learning about new products, particularly from those of Black Businesses. After seeing the demonstration, she purchased two (2) packs 😉. Up to that point, her cycles were very heavy and she changed at every restroom break because of this and from drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. Prior to Reign, she was using organic pads 🤔. Her cycles were heavy the first 2-3 days and she always felt wet, like wearing a diaper. That being said, she was skeptical there would be enough pads in our packages to support how often she changes but was surprised to feel completely dry throughout the entire night, nor did it feel as if she were wearing a pad 🤩. By day 4 she still had pads left to use, there was no odor, and she felt comfortable, and extremely fresh throughout the day. Shannon is now a Reign customer for life 😏!
