Most traditional back pain treatment is what Dr. David calls a “passive band aid.”
Anti-inflammatories, injections, massage, heat, taping – they can all feel good, and there’s nothing wrong with them. The problem? They don’t lead to long-term change.
Passive treatments don’t build strength, improve mobility, or teach your body how to move better. A pill won’t give you stronger hips. A massage won’t help your legs and back coordinate together.
And that’s an issue when your goals are active – walking farther, bending down, getting on and off the floor, or picking up your grandkids.
At AMP, we don’t rely on passive band aids. We use an active rebuild.
We pair hands-on work like soft tissue, stretching, or massage with intentional movement so your body can lock in the change.
Because if you gain four inches on a toe touch after a massage, that’s great – but if you don’t do something active to “hit save,” you’ll wake up back at square one.
