Dedicated to the healing process of all who seek care, Dr. Ann Studer's mission is to acknowledge the vitalistic principles and philosophies that govern life and create wholeness. Chiropractic, since its inception in 1895, has always been based on vitalistic principles. It has always recognized an innate wisdom or intelligent life force within each one of us. When this life force flows freely, the
brain and nervous system and able to effectively communicate with the entire body so that we are able to fully express our optimum life potential. Interference to the flow of this life force results in physiological illness and a lack of ease or : "dis-ease." A clear and flexible nervous system enables us to live a fuller life physically, mentally, spiritually. Vertebral subluxations occur in the body when we experience an overload of physical, emotional, mental or chemical stress. Any one of these factors, or a combination, may cause the spine to get "stuck" in a pattern of behavior or posture that reflects interference in the nervous systems ability to communicate information effectively. Because subluxations directly affect the nervous system, the consequences of this unresolved neurological conflict affect all physiological function, as well as thoughts, feelings, actions and behaviors. Rather than focusing on symptoms, chiropractic adjustments release interference in the nervous system, freeing the wisdom of the body so that the power of the life force within can flow to every cell of the body.
