Happy Labor Day! What an exciting and busy summer we’ve had!

Play is at the heart of what we do and is the best way to learn, and this summer, we dove deep into our imaginations!

From building construction vehicles to planning how to catch sharks with rocket balloons, and even capturing Pikachu, we’ve had so much fun while working on crucial skills like:
• Core posture
• Motor planning & coordination
• Sensory processing
• Executive function ...and so much more!

These activities are not just fun- they’re helping our kiddos grow, develop, and unlock their full potential.

During this Earth Day inspired activity, we painted rocks as a way to identify our “calm” and create a visual reminder of a just right/feel good state. Each rock is a personal message to practice self awareness and emotional regulation. A bonus was how this activity supported fine motor skills in a fun way! Can’t wait to see our rock garden grow!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Our motto of “Play Not Work” was really evident this past week! We had so much fun incorporating motor skills including balance, coordination, motor planning and agility into these activities. Math and writing was a breeze when finding Lucky Charms marshmallows and who doesn’t love a jumping leprechaun?!

Happy Halloween from all of us at KidTherapy! We were having so much fun rescuing SpongeBob and making ghosts we forgot to take more pictures!

Putting the FUN in function! When your child is able to identify playing with alphabet letters would make them feel “just right” after a demanding school day, you listen! We explored and a fun plan unfolded to make that happen all while still meeting therapy goals. Focus on areas of strength and interest and things won’t be perceived as a demand and over stress one’s nervous system.
