Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 This year we had so much fun making a flock of turkeys! Feeding them, grooming their feathers and even making a snack was part of the fun while working on essential fine motor, language, visual motor and eye hand coordination skills all while keeping our bodies regulated. Wishing you all a holiday filled with gratitude and love.

Holiday meals can be overwhelming for children with feeding challenges. New smells, new textures, loud environments, and pressure to “just try it” can make eating feel stressful.

At KidTherapy, we focus on helping kids feel safe, curious, and in control—because that’s when real progress happens.

This week, our little ones got creative making turkeys made from colorful foods like peppers, string beans, chicken, bananas, and carrots! 🦃

Through this playful activity, kids learned to become “food detectives” by exploring new textures and smells, all while having fun with food—without any pressure to taste.

Food exploration like this helps children feel more comfortable and confident around new foods.

Celebrating curiosity and play is just as important as tasting. ✨💛

Motor Monday at KidTherapy!! We are gearing up for more turkey themed fun this week, so we’re setting the foundation with powerful sensory and motor play! Vestibular input to support balance and attention, Proprioception to help bodies feel grounded and organized, Eye hand and visual motor connections, Core posture for stable, efficient movement, Motor Planning to prepare for all of the fun multi step turkey crafts and games!!! Strong sensory and motor systems =more success and confidence in everything that follows!

Happy Labor Day! What an exciting and busy summer we’ve had!

Play is at the heart of what we do and is the best way to learn, and this summer, we dove deep into our imaginations!

From building construction vehicles to planning how to catch sharks with rocket balloons, and even capturing Pikachu, we’ve had so much fun while working on crucial skills like:
• Core posture
• Motor planning & coordination
• Sensory processing
• Executive function ...and so much more!

These activities are not just fun- they’re helping our kiddos grow, develop, and unlock their full potential.
