The community is invited to honor the homecoming of 2nd Lt. Edgar William Nevois. Following the visitation on Saturday, May 16, 2026, a funeral procession will depart from Pechacek Funeral Homes (1340 W Market St, Red Bud) at 11:00 am.

The procession will travel to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Prairie du Rocher for a military graveside service at 11:30 am. We encourage residents along the route to join us in a final salute to this World War II hero as he is finally laid to rest in his hometown.

Procession Route:

Departure: 11:00 am from Pechacek Funeral Homes (1340 W Market St, Red Bud).

Route Path: Travel east on West Market Street. Turn south on IL-3, heading toward the village of Ruma. From Ruma, turn onto IL-155, descending into the bottoms. Follow IL-155 directly and take a left onto Prairie du Rocher Street.

Final Destination: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (1299 Prairie du Rocher St).
