For some clients, nourishment may require additional medical support. At Hidden River, we approach this process with the same compassion and respect that guide all treatment decisions.

Nasogastric (NG) feeding tubes can help restore medical stability, support safe weight restoration, and reduce the physical strain of malnutrition when oral intake isn’t yet possible or sustainable.

They are not a setback. They are not failures.
They are a medical tool of care and protection.

In our program, medical decisions are individualized, evidence-based, and communicated with dignity, ensuring each client understands the why behind their care.

We’re looking forward to the 2026 iaedp Foundation Annual Global Symposium, taking place February 19–21, 2026, in Baltimore, MD.

This annual gathering brings together clinicians, researchers, dietitians, therapists, physicians, and multidisciplinary providers committed to advancing eating disorder treatment through evidence-based, compassionate care.

We’re proud to share that members of the Hidden River team — Jennifer Vargas, Caitlin Grant, Tamie Gangloff, and James Runyan — will be attending and engaging in learning, collaboration, and connection throughout the symposium. You can find them at booth #41.

At Hidden River, continued education and strong professional relationships are central to our work. Events like iaedp provide meaningful space to deepen clinical insight and strengthen the partnerships that support better outcomes for patients and families.

✨ We’d love to connect if you’ll be there! Send us a DM or drop a comment below — we’d be happy to meet up in Baltimore.

When a child is living with an eating disorder, everything else can feel secondary, and for a time, it should. 💙

Schoolwork, sports, social pressure, and perfectionism — these can all wait.

Health, safety, nourishment, and stabilization cannot.
Early intervention saves lives. Prioritizing treatment is not overreaction; it’s protection, love, and advocacy.

At Hidden River, parents receive weekly updates, family therapy involvement, education, and partnership from a multidisciplinary team with decades of specialized ED experience. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Remember: There is no wrong time to choose healing.
