"I have suffered with anxiety and depression since a brain injury in 2013. Changing medications frequently along with side effects was very frustrating. I had heard about TMS a few years ago, but was hesitant. My NP, Julia Brown had encouraged me to consider it, but I just wasn't convinced. Then I saw that Dr. Patel was doing TMS at the Chesterfield office, 5 minutes from my home. I started TMS 5 days a week for 7 weeks. The first 10 days my apprehension was apparent. I was really afraid of another disappointment. Then, small positive changes begin to happen. I'm socializing more, less crying and my mood was better. Others began noticing a positive change in my behavior. The only side effect was a mild headache. The entire process was much easier than I had imagined. Katie and Emily were so kind with consistent encouragement and support. Along with Dr. Patel, they have improved my life! I finished TMS a few weeks ago and today my mental health is much better, like a "normal" person being able to control my emotions.
