Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the cooler weather we've had. While it has come a little earlier than expected, I must say I really do enjoy FALL!! Leaves changing colors, apple picking, comfort foods such as gumbo, pot pies and the COOLER temps! While I've been gearing up for my busy season, I thought I would let you know some of the changes that I can speak about, if you haven't already heard about it (It's ALL OVER the NEWS).

You're Part B PREMIUM is expected to GO UP from $185 to $206.50 (OUCH!)
Stand alone PDP (RX) plans are getting a HEFTY INCREASE in premiums along with fewer choices
Medicaid is CHANGING how some DUAL (D-SNP) are getting benefits
Dental benefits MAY be REDUCED or CUT completely on some plans
CHRONIC SPECIAL NEEDS PLANS (C-SNP) are ALL the rage right now
LIS (Extra Help) beneficiaries WILL see COST-SHARING
INCREASE in how you pay for prescriptions (other than Tier 1)
INCREASE deductible on PDP plans

Not to mention in SOME markets CARRIER EXITS and/or PLAN REMOVALS. I cannot stress enough that THIS YEAR is a DISRUPTIVE YEAR. ANOC (Annual notice of change) letters should be arriving soon! Please make sure that you're reading what CHANGES may be happening to your FUTURE plan.

Happy Monday!!!! What a great few weeks I've have. Took a trip to New York to celebrate my husband and some friends birthdays/anniversary and also went to NOLA to help my daniece get settled in her apartment. These next two days will be spent relaxing, trying some meditation (I've been wanting to for quite some time), enjoying some music and a nice glass of wine. AEP season is almost upon us and that's when I go hard!!! This year will be another disruptive year as we are in store for some changes.

While in New York, we did our fair share of walking and taking the subway to get around (1st time on the subway😀). While we didn't do a lot of the customary site seeing, we managed to visit a few iconic places. Will definitely be back!!! We ate well and went to a New York club ( let's just say the knees aren't like they use to be😅😅). I was pretty sore the next day, trying to dance like I am still in my 30's!

Over the next few weeks, I will be attending all the carrier rollouts for their plans for the 2026 year. I will not be able to speak about the changes until October 1st. Gearing up for the season is something that I enjoy, it's kind of like the calm before the store. This year I have been proactively seeking out partnerships and building strategies to ensure that I'm able to assist those in need.

Happy Monday!!! With AEP season right around the corner, I usually take this time to focus on my SELF-CARE. I do this in the months of August and September because once October 15 - December 7 hits, it's GO TIME and I rarely have time to think straight. Coincidently August is Self-Care/Wellness Month. So, what better topic this week than this!!! There are so many different ways to practice overall wellness and self-care and you don't need to focus on any particular area all of the time. These next two months for me will focus on the intellectual (all of the continuing education that I have to do) and the emotional (AEP is so hectic, that I need to be in a ZENlike state before it begins). What SELF-CARE areas will YOU FOCUS on???

Happy Tuesday!!! Just came back from my happy place, Rhode Island!! I forgot how beautiful the state is. Because whenever I go, I immediately go to some of my favorite childhood places and then there's family to visit, I forget to take it in. This time on purpose I went for a walk. I wanted to share a few pictures I took along the way. Now every time I visit, weather permitting, I will slow down to enjoy the view!!!

Happy Monday!!!! I hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing holdiay weekend!! Mine was spent by the pool with family and friends.

This weeks' topic will give you some insight on Medicare and dental coverage... specifically what to expect in terms of what is commonly covered. Please be aware that Part C (Medicare Advantage) usually has SOME COVERAGE for Dental included (plan and carrier coverage differ) and that ORIGINAL MEDICARE and MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTS DO NOT INCLUDE DENTAL.
