Financial stress affects the body, not just the bank account. When we worry about money, our nervous system can remain in a constant state of stress, affecting our focus, sleep, and overall well-being.

In addition to the breathwork mindfulness activity, tomorrow’s workshop for our SMVF Empowerment Initiative will focus on financial stability and financial empowerment for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families.

We are honored to have Ramona J Jones, Retired U.S. Navy Veteran and Founder & CEO of Jeunibe Financial Advisory, LLC, leading this important discussion. She will share practical insights on budgeting, financial planning, and strategies to help individuals strengthen their financial future.

Healing doesn’t always come through conversations alone. Sometimes, it comes through art, movement, and creativity. This past weekend, Crystal Williams with Creative Works Studio LLC helped guide every Service Member, Veteran, and Family member through art therapy to process emotions, reflect, and begin releasing experiences that are often difficult to put into words.

As of February 05, 2026, the Department of Veterans Affairs’ 2023 National Veteran Su***de Prevention Report shows 6,398 Veteran su***des in 2023, a slight decrease from 6,442 in 2022. The daily average also decreased slightly to 17.5 per day.
