🌈 A breathtaking double rainbow appeared over our Garden Villas North and Delmar Gardens North campus! 🌈

These amazing photos were captured by St. Louis County Police Officer Chris Pignataro, who so generously serves and inspires our vibrant senior community.

Double rainbows are often seen as symbols of prosperity, transformation, and hope—a reminder that you’re right where you’re meant to be. For more than 60 years, Delmar Gardens has believed in filling every moment with love, care, and understanding. And sometimes, those moments are made even brighter with rainbows, laughter, and peace.

As the seasons change, may this rainbow remind us all to cherish each day and celebrate lives well lived. Thank you, Officer Chris, for sharing this beautiful gift with us!

Our wonderful Delmar Gardens South resident, Mary Braiser, celebrated her 100 year birthday last week!

Mary has called Delmar Gardens home for the past 12 years, and she’s truly part of the heart of our family here. Always the first to jump into activities, she brings such joy to everything she does.

For her milestone birthday, Mary shared a cherished tradition—rhubarb custard pie has always been the dessert of choice for her and her daughters’ birthdays. So of course, we made sure she had one to enjoy all weekend long!

We filled her day with balloons, a big birthday sign, and plenty of renditions of “Happy Birthday.” Her dining friends showered her with love and wished her the best day ever.

It was such a gift to celebrate this incredible milestone! Happy Birthday Mary! We love you Mary!

Garden Villas residents enjoyed a wonderful evening that began with our lively Hula Happy Hour, featuring Blue Hawaiian rum punch garnished with fresh pineapple. During dinner, guests were entertained by Lenny Frisch playing Hawaiian tunes on his steel drum, while our activity team delighted everyone with a festive hula performance.

The meal began with a flavorful black bean soup and a tropical salad, followed by a choice of chicken pineapple salad or honey-glazed pork chops topped with mango salsa. As a special touch, residents also had the opportunity to create their own luau flower bouquet to take home—a fun and creative activity that brought lots of smiles all around.

It was a festive and memorable evening at Garden Villas!

The Dog Days of Summer may be behind us, but we wrapped things up in the best way here at Chesterfield Villas!

Residents enjoyed a lively game of Puppy Pokeno before raising a glass at our tail-wagging yappy hour. Special thanks to our furry friends from Love on a Leash who joined in the fun! With paw-some cocktails, wine, beer, mini hot dogs, and popcorn—it was the perfect way to say farewell to summer.

Lighthouses have long been symbols of guidance, hope, strength, and safety—and they hold a special meaning for our residents too.

At Garden Villas North, we were delighted when our dear resident, Doreen, shared her beautiful personal collection of lighthouses with us. Among her favorites are the breathtaking lighthouses of Newfoundland, each one holding cherished memories and reminding her of perseverance and light even in life’s storms.

🌺 Aloha from Garden Villas North! 🌺

This summer, our community was transformed into a tropical oasis as we celebrated paradise in so many wonderful ways. From our Hawaiian Summer Staff Party to a Lovebird Luau, the spirit of aloha was alive and well!

Our staff kicked things off with relay races full of laughter and surprises—costume quick changes, spoon basketball, ring toss, and more! Four lively teams competed for the top prize, and the winning crew proudly took home their trophies and the title of first place champions.

Residents enjoyed a delightful Wine & Cheese Happy Hour with crisp white and red wines, perfectly paired with cheese, crackers, fruit, and gourmet nuts, all served on charming mini charcuterie boards complete with parakeet toothpicks.

The fun continued as friends gathered for our “Words with Friends” social, where creativity filled the room. Together, they came up with an incredible 143 words to describe summer!

One of the most special moments of all was our Lovebird Luau, where we celebrated the beautiful union of our very own Aaron, our Maintenance Director, and Cher, from our Activities Team. It was a joy to honor their love surrounded by friends, family, and festive island vibes.

What a magical way to celebrate summer—filled with laughter, friendship, love, and memories we’ll treasure for years to come. 🌴💛

What a rootin’-tootin’ good time our Chesterfield Villas residents had at our annual Chuck Wagon Dinner! Residents and friends gathered ‘round for a hearty spread of ribs, corn, baked beans, green beans, and warm biscuits—topped off with the sweetest strawberry shortcake.

Vince Martin kept toes tappin’ and hands clappin’ with all our favorite country tunes while we sipped on Fitz’s root beer and Budweiser. From the food to the music, it was a night filled with laughter, friendship, and good ol’ fashioned fun!

Our Garden Villas South residents had the best time at Eckert's Country Store & Farms! From the warm country charm of the restaurant to browsing the delightful country store, it was a day filled with good food, great finds, and plenty of laughter.

There’s nothing like sharing a delicious meal and a little shopping together to make memories that last.
