We were honored to join leaders from the Missouri Behavioral Health Council and community partners in Washington, D.C. for an important discussion about expanding access to mental health care across our state.
During our conversations, we focused on the vital role Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) play in strengthening behavioral health systems and reaching more individuals and families in need.
We were especially grateful for the engagement of Congressman Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th District in the U.S. House of Representatives. As someone actively involved in rural health care conversations and federal policy, Congressman Alford’s leadership and willingness to engage with behavioral health partners help advance solutions that support both mental health services and broader health care access across our communities.
Thank you to Brent McGinty, KC Rafferty, Deputy Josh Stockman, Suneal Menzies, Meghan Schmidtlein, John Assini — and all of our partners — for your commitment to improving behavioral health care in Missouri.
