🔹 October 16 – World Spine Day 🔹
Today, we join the global community in recognizing World Spine Day — a reminder of the importance of spinal health and its direct impact on overall well-being.
Why it matters
In 2020, 619 million people worldwide were affected by low back pain. That number is projected to grow to 843 million by 2050, driven by aging populations and increased sedentary behavior.
Low back pain is the leading cause of disability globally and a condition for which many can benefit from rehabilitative care.

The 2025 campaign theme is “Invest in Your Spine” — encouraging individuals, communities, and policymakers to adopt preventive habits (good posture, ergonomic workspaces, regular movement) and to embed spinal health into wellness policies.
